A few lines replaced…
So I went back today and replaced some of Max’s lines. He was just a little too “angry” and not depressed enough. Now it’s balanced out a lot more.
I also got rid of a scene and added in a new one. The old scene was pretty stupid, it involved someone trying to sell Max a boat. Lots of laughs there!
My “dialogue” audio folder is now up to 7.33 gigs. A minutes worth of audio is about 5 megs, so I have recorded roughly 24 hours worth of takes for this movie. Hah.
Right now I’m finishing up the dialogue changes and then will get right back to animating! Sorry the updates have been less frequent lately - right now most of what I’m doing is the same thing over and over again and there’s not a whole lot of interesting stuff to post about.

lol 24 hours of dialogue in audio boy that aught to be fun to condense into 2 hours
lol, anyway jason thats sounds really fun what ur currently doing and ya its funnier when max is depressed not mad when hes mad hes just mad when hes dperessed lol its disco party time when hes dperessed. and its ok were fine you havent been posting its not like we have feelings to *Cries* anyway im glad i was second to post. lol guys if you dont really understand the short max is both angry and depressed. Hes depressed because his life sucked and well hes deformed and he was beaten he just had a crappy life but he gets mad that hes depressed and mad at what happened to him in the past thats causing him to be depressed which is why he then turns into a disco spatual lol i think that sums up max of and hes also crazy and cant think on his own without drake lol i swaer though max looks like u put the end of the spatula over a fire and melted it and stretched it 5 feet longer

drake is crazy if u ask me lol becuase he wants to turn everyone into spoons so they dont attack when they could simply turn all the spoons into spatulas duh lol i thought that as soon as that part came on i laughed like hell in the short mainly durign the whole france thing and when he was trying to get out like 4 times and then when max is trying to hit him with the dart lol finally just threows it. i laughed on all of it but htose 2 parts i almost fell off my cahir

hate to burst Chiz’s bubble, but it seems he doesn’t have much to make a good trailer yet. i could be wrong, but it seems like he’s not that far into it yet.
and i know what you mean about consistent personality. a friend of mine does scripts we make into movies, which are really funny but they have as much continuity as the Fairly Oddparents (which is the most outrageously inconsistent show on the face of the Earth, if you didn’t know)
but if the bpat scene was lots of laughs, why’d you cut it? eh, you probably have a good reason. but if you really aren’t gonna use it, you should post the script on the blog or something (not til after the movie’s out though, if it gives anything away)

Its actually quite nice when you don’t post too frequently, becuase when I check the blog (daily) it’s nice to have a new post. You know, its like a ‘treat’ everytime you post.

Thats a lot of dialogue! You must be incredibly organized, I’d lose track of which dialogue i want to use and which were bad takes right away. Maybe you should play one random audio file from that folder on kkr, just because.. eh, nevermind..

This Max+boat scene sounds interesting. On the DVD, if it’s too much to animate the scene, you should do a storyboard animatic and/or explain the scene. I’d like to know what you had in mind for a that scene. It was obviously funny enough for you to write it in the first place.

Jason heres a recommend dation when u make the dvd add special features like interviews from u and knox and matt books and a blooper wheel or deleted senese if u did separtly it could be like deleted scense like the max boat thing and blooper wheel lol like edward spatula trying to talk lol then hes like ugh cut cut let me re do that u know wat i mean it slike they really have there own minds and are trying to act . Yeah, the Max boat scene won’t be included as a deleted scene because it never got to animation. I may end up putting the audio up on here after the movie is released, but I’m not sure if I saved it.
I took it out because it really just didn’t turn out as funny as I had hoped, it was just sort of weird.
I’m not sure how much animation I have finished yet, I haven’t really counted. I’m running behind schedule so I doubt if it’ll actually be released in September, but production is going a lot faster now.
Chris - right now making this movie is my only job. Before I started this I did freelance video editing and motion graphics work. I was ok at it, not really professional or anything, you can see my old motion graphics demo reel here:

Matt said about the Waco thing that they burned themselves. In reality, the excessive amount of tear gas used by the FBI ignited during the raid. They recently, in a deeper investigation, found this out. Also, the FBI used live rounds unlike they said several years back.
