FilmCow on iTunes.

Thursday, June 29th, 2006

A friend of mine pointed out that the FilmCow video collection on iTunes was listed on the Podcast front page!

If you have an iPod you can grab the original Spatula Madness short and the rest of the FilmCow movies in iPod Video format from there.

To answer some questions from the comments:

- On KnoxKast Radio, the audio “effects” were just plug-ins I found within the program I was using to capture the show, Audio Hijack Pro. The chipmunk voice thing was just a pitch shifter, and the cave thing was “Reverberate.” The alien thing was a Leslie filter (my all time favorite audio effect - it’s how I got Drake from the original short to sound the way he did, and I believe it’s how they got Gir from Invader Zim to sound like he did. With the Leslie filter I can do a pretty darn good Gir voice, ha ha.)

- The art quality is indeed a lot better in the feature. I’ve re-done it all, even with the existing characters, and it’s all high-res and much more detailed. I also have more control over the characters - I can move each eye lid separately, and I can bend the spatulas too. It’s still simple animation but I think the new touches will make it visually more fun to watch.

- The spatula shown in the picture below isn’t a main character, but he has a decent part.

- I’m not sure on the run time yet. I’ll have to wait until the new scene audio is spliced into the movie and all the re-takes are finished.
